brexit impact challenges in higher education

How will your University be affected?

As part of the service sector, higher education is facing profound uncertainty in the wake of the Brexit referendum’s results. In fact, different outcomes may affect one of the UK’s most profitable exports and lead to implications for the financial services industry as well.

This will be the main focus of the event Secure Trading and, its partner and long-time client, the London School of Economics (LSE) will be hosting on Thursday 1st December.

Under the form of a Roundtable Discussion, the forum will examine the potential outcomes deriving from Brexit and its impacts on the service industry, with a specific focus on the financial services and higher education sectors.

Prior to the discussion moderated by Secure Trading CCO Jens Bader, the event programme features a special contribution by Dr Angus Armstrong, Director of Macroeconomics at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research. Dr Armstrong will set the scene and outline the key considerations facing the UK and its future economic arrangement with the EU.

The event is completely FREE and lunch and refreshments will also be provided. Held at LSE headquarters, the forum is aimed at the finance departments of universities around London and UK with the purpose to provide some clarity about the possible Brexit scenarios and generate a fruitful discussion between all participants.
