We have been informed that as of 1st June 2009 MasterCard has temporarily reinstated the exclusion of commercial cards from the global interregional merchant-only MasterCard SecureCode liability shift program. This will remain the case until 30th May 2009.

Note that all authorisations that have occurred during the period of 17th April 2009 and 31st May 2009 are subject to the global inter-regional merchant-only MasterCard SecureCode liability shift program. Under the condition that all authentication and authorisation requirements have been met, merchants would be protected from fraud related chargebacks that relate to authorisations processed during this period.

This does not affect Visa commercial card transactions.
