History

SecureTrading was founded in 1997 in Bangor, North Wales to address the demand for leading edge online payment technology. As one of the first independent internet payment service providers in the UK we experienced rapid growth.

In 1999 SecureTrading were acquired by the UC Group who invested significantly in our infrastructure and our people. The UC Group remains our parent company today and continues to actively support the business.

SecureTrading's 30,000 sq m Operations Centre in Bangor houses a purpose built data centre for our payment gateways and servers, whilst our Head Office is based in Bromley.

SecureTrading has continued to grow and support more and more merchants, whilst continuing to improve on our already excellent reputation.

Although we are integrated with all the major UK and several international banks, we are not bank owned and remain one of few independent PSPs in the UK.

SecureTrading is a profitable business which continues to grow on a monthly basis. We intend to remain as the leading UK provider through continual investment in people, R&D and our infrastructure. As such we will not compromise at the expense of our reputation nor that of our customers.
